ktvu's brian flores is at the newpark mall in newark. i know the police had to be called in, brian. >> reporter: yeah, dave. good morning to you and, yes, tensions still are high and we were just in the mall a few minutes ago. there was a line that went from that shoe store for people waiting for. air jordans. the crowd was basically told they didn't have anymore shoes. but the crowd remains in there and they are not dispersing at this moment. take a look at video we shot earlier this morning. this is chopper 2. from what we understand, talking to eyewitness, the shoe store inside the mall was to hand out free raffle tickets to people that wait in line to get the new jordans. the store's policy was first come first served but when a mall employee came out to hand out the tickets, the huge crowd pretty much bum rushed that that person and that's when the police were called. there were several fire department and medical officials here. they let the crowd in shortly after 7:00 this morning. there was a long line inside the mall. it continu
